4040 membranes are the second largest yet most classic Reverse osmosis we offer, spanning 4″ wide and 40″ long, producing a permeate flow of up to 2,500 gallons per day (395 litres per hour). Like all membranes above 3″, these are constructed by spiralling layers of thin film polyamide composite membrane sheets around the central permeate collection tube and secured in a shell of high-grade fibreglass.
